Megan DiMaria

Megan's Story

 

Ever since she was a young girl, Megan loved to get lost in the pages of a good book. Her mom used to pile all the kids into the car and head to the city library each week. Her love of story has only grown throughout the years.

 

She feels doubly blessed to have been able to write books. Megan loves to open new worlds and stir ideas that make people think and feel differently about relationships. Her novels have family at the heart of them because she believes family should be our safe spot—a welcome haven for all.

 

Megan was born and raised in New York State and has lived in Maine, Florida, Pennsylvania, Texas, and New Jersey. She now lives in suburban Denver, Colorado where the air is thin and the purple mountain majesties hover on the  horizon.

Writing has always been an aspiration for Megan. She started scribbling her own stories in grade school and got her first real writing gig as a high school senior in a work-study program. She wrote wedding announcements for The Troy Record in Troy, NY. The advice she remembers the most:  Never write groom. It's always bridegroom. See the picture? It was taken after work one day. Behind her are the newspapers rolling off the press.

Professionally, Megan has been a radio and television reporter, a print journalist for magazines and newspapers, a web editor, a copywriter, a ghostwriter, a freelance writer for general projects, and a social media manager.

 

But what's most important to know about her is that she is a Christian, wife, mother, Mimi, friend, reader, and writer.
