Encouraging words to help creatives persevere when the journey gets tough

Need some encouragement to persevere when the journey gets tough? You’ve come to the right place.

The struggle is real, but it's important to keep on striving for your dreams. When I feel like my initiative is wavering, I open some files that I know will feed my soul and fuel my passion. Over the years, I’ve kept documents of encouraging words and scripture verses. I'm delighted to share some with you.

I hope these snippets stir your enthusiasm:

  • Get your fire back. It’s not over until God says it’s over. Start believing again. Start dreaming again. Start pursuing what God put in your heart. ~Unknown

  • Don’t compare your chapter one to someone else’s chapter twenty. ~Unknown

  • Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her! Luke 1:45

  • If God has given you a dream, you’d better get cracking because He wants you to use it. ~Jan Karon

  • Begin doing what you want to do now. We are not living in eternity. We only have these moments, sparkling like a star in our hand—and melting like a snowflake . . . ~Sir Frances Bacon

  • Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try. ~Gail Devers

I have plenty more quotes and scripture verses to feed the creative soul, but these few are enough to ponder for now. Remember, we don't want to get overwhelmed.

And a final thought: Be brave. Write despite the fear your work will never be read. God birthed this dream in your heart. Write to please Him, and don't worry about the rest. ~Megan DiMaria

Write on, friends!
