If you're in the Denver area or want to travel to a one-day Christian writing conference, consider attending the Rocky Mountain Christian Writing Conference. You can even come from out of town because they've arranged a special rate at a local Hyatt.
There's nothing like attending a writing conference to fire up your enthusiasm and level up your skills. After reviewing the schedule, I'm amazed at how much bang you'll get for your buck.

This looks like an outstanding conference for those seeking instruction, encouragement, and networking. Who doesn't like hanging out with other writers?
The schedule includes tips and techniques for both fiction and non-fiction writers, including proposal writing, deep POV, marketing, screenwriting, and much more. The list of agents, editors, and writers on faculty is impressive.
To those attending, have fun and write on!
(Honestly, I'm sorry I can't attend. That date doesn't work with my schedule, but maybe next year.)
Are you hesitant to commit to a conference? Here are 10 reasons to attend a writers conference:
You'll declare to yourself (and the world) that you are a writer and serious about your craft.
It's valuable to invest in your writing. You owe it to yourself.
You'll gain insight into the industry.
Friends! You'll meet other writers who can encourage you on your journey. The writing community is fantastic. When you need a nudge to keep going, it's a fellow writing who will cheer you on.
You'll reinforce to yourself that you are committed to your goal of writing.
If you have the opportunity to meet with an agent or editor, it's encouraging and may help you move to the next level in your career.
Being with other writers will help you to realize if they can do it, so can I.
You'll be inspired by other writers' success.
Many conferences offer manuscript critiques. This one-on-one attention can help you to see your strengths and weaknesses.
Getting to know other writers will open up a world of networking and gaining insight into what's happening in the writing community.
Take the plunge and go to a conference. If you go, be sure to get a good night's sleep and practice your pitch. And have fun!
